Kaia Wave Mini Dapp Growth Competition: Top 2 Announcement

The Kaia Foundation and LINE NEXT recently hosted a Mini Dapp Growth Competition to foster Mini Dapp development within LINE Messenger and the Kaia ecosystem. The initiative sought to identify and support innovative projects showing exceptional promise. We are deeply grateful to all participants who demonstrated remarkable passion and dedication throughout the competition.
Growth Competition Overview
The Mini Dapp Growth Competition, launched as part of the Kaia Wave program, aimed to discover and support promising Dapps that would enhance both the Kaia and LINE ecosystems. For complete competition details, please visit the official documentation:
During the three-week competition period (January 22nd–February 12th), the top 10 participants were selected based on their average Growth Competition dashboard scores. The final top 2 winners were then chosen through additional evaluation criteria.

Selection Criteria for Top 2
The Top 2 teams, Elderglade and Bombie, showed strong performances in the following evaluation criteria. Rather than being selected based on dashboard scores alone, Elderglade and Bombie were comprehensively evaluated on the following factors:
- On-chain metrics
- User retention
- Average Revenue Per Paying User (ARPPU)
- Paid user data
- Marketing plans
- Team capabilities
- Tokenomics design and go-to-market (GTM) strategies
This comprehensive review ensured that the selected projects are well-positioned for sustainable growth and impact.
Top 2 Growth Package
The Top 2 teams will receive comprehensive growth packages. Accordingly, Elderglade and Bombie will each receive the following growth package support. This support is intended to expand their reach and strengthen user acquisition.
- $500,000 in marketing funds
- $100,000 in liquidity support
- Additional tailored marketing through the DApp Portal
Marketing Support Plan for Top 10
Meanwhile, all Top 10 teams will also receive promotional support. Starting this Friday, a dedicated section titled “Growth Competition Phase 1 Top 10 Winners” will be featured in the Play tab of the DApp Portal. This exclusive showcase will run for two weeks, increasing visibility and user engagement opportunities for all Top 10 projects.
Phase 2 Schedule
The Phase 2 of the Mini Dapp Growth Competition is starting soon! The competition will begin on March 5th and run for six weeks, with the Top 10 to be announced around April 18th. Detailed schedule and guidelines will soon be available in the official documentation.
